i used the x100 V for a season, but desperately wanting a camera to shoot video and stills with, the lack of IBIS made so many of my vids unusable (esp shooting while driving). i kinda just ruled out any new x100 as overhyped (though pretty). but seeing your video footage with the VI you're making me reconsider grabbing this camera again. great review and the only one kind that really matters since all tech specs on new cameras should be competitive.

For travel/street photography, X-T5 or X100VI...???

Someday i will buy this camera, its perfekt for me, but for now its way to expensiv. I love 23mm for apsc i love the colors and especially the form faktor

Its crazy that the X100V has been so overhyped by youtubers that they currently are reselling for the more than Fujifilm's current flagship the XT5 despite it being superior in every way.

I absolutely LOVE your video language. Also that you incorporate outdoor shots into your videos. I love how James Popsys is doing this, standing outside and we watch him actually use the gear while he talks about gear and photography. Had a similar vibe here, and I love the atmosphere in the photos. Instantly ran to the subscribe button :D

Did you only use the 23mm on xt5 for photo and video? This is amazing

Great vid and images. 35mm is also my go to focal length. The extremes can be ok too: I remember a well-known photojournalist told me if he only packed 2 lenses to cover a story it was the 16-35 and 70-200, as the extremes gave him shots the human eye didn’t naturally see so that’s what photo editors usually picked.

I bought my X100VI with my own money like you and I placed my ordered on the very first day of its debut. However, B&H just emailed me two days ago that it could be shipped by the end of June or the beginning of July. My point is , I really don’t buy it that you spent your own money to get it.

Hello. I just received a X100vi. I haven't taken photographs for the last 15 years (except iPhones...), and I am really happy and excited to get back into it. Now that I have this, I'm considering switching it for the X-T5 (or even x-T50)... but your last year's review of X100v vs x-T5, makes me wonder. So you never use the x100vi simulation films, you edit everything on LR right? Seeing this video, I just want to go outside and shoot, but living in Paris, it's hard to find such landscapes. You content is very nice and you are doing nice work with this camera, but I am sorry but you are literally the type of people that ruined the x100 series, and I am serious about the word ruined. How the x100 series started and why it was made at first place has nothing to do with what it has now become. It was supposed to be a simple camera to take every day photos which you can easily carry with you, with the nice simulations and shooting in JPEG because thats all you want in the end to share the photos, nothing more. IBIS? 40MP? 4k recording? you even say I wish it had a fully articulated screen on a digital range finder style camera which was just made for simple things, seriously pick an other camera this aint it, if you needed IBIS on this camera then you did not need this camera you need a camera that was designed to cover specific needs for a user. I dont understand why every single camera has to do everything, just so you can please social media by feeding the hype for the x100 series. The XT-5 has almost identical specs, and it was made for more than just casual shooting, there you have it, I dont understand why this camera has to do all this stuff becasue you people are displeased with everything about cameras these days. Fuji realised they can profit from these absurd demands and the giant hype of this and literally added everything they could in this small camera.
